Free Gas Card ($250)

I just found this cool site that is giving away $250 free gas cards. All you have to do is visit this site, insert your zip code, fill out a survey, follow the rest of the directions and you will be sent a free $250 gas card!

>>> Click here to sign up!

You can also choose to receive a Visa or American Express $250 card if you wish. They ship the cards after you complete the program requirements on the site. This is definitely worth doing and a great way to save money on your yearly gas costs.

Search for Cheap Gas with MapQuest

MapQuest has a special website setup just for finding gas prices in your area. You may be familiar with MapQuest if you have ever used it to find the fastest route to an address from your house. Or if you are more familiar with Google Maps, it is basically the same thing. One of the best features about MapQuest though is this gas prices search which you can use at GasPrices.MapQuest.com.

After putting in your address or just your zip code, the MapQuest site will bring up a map of your area and will have a number of blue markers on it. The markets indicate gas stations. After clicking on one of the blue markers it will bring up some very useful information on that gas station. The information includes the current price of regular, premium, and mid-grade gas at that gas station. It also lists what date these prices were posted so that you can be sure the information is up to date (or not). The pop-up also has the exact address, how far away it is, the phone number, and of course the name and number of the gas station.

The best part about this website is that you can very easily scroll around on the map to see the prices of gas closest to you first. This may be more helpful to people rather than seeing a huge list of gas stations and their prices. For example, with this MapQuest site you can easily and quickly find all the gas stations that are on your way to work and compare their prices so that you know ahead of time which one has the cheapest price. Planning ahead like this can often save a lot of time and money because you can go directly to the one that has the cheapest gas rather than shopping around.

Find Cheap Gas with GasBuddy

One of the best ways to search for cheap gas online is to use a website called GasBuddy.com. When you first visit this website you are asked for your location. You can input your zip code or your city and state. After putting in your location and pressing enter you will be taken to a long list of gas stations in your area along with the prices at those gas stations. The site is extremely easy to use and very helpful in quickly finding the cheapest gas around your area.

Besides the gas station and pricing information, the website also has a lot of other important details. At the top of each page is listed the average price for all the stations in your area. It also lists the stability of prices in your area. Besides this, there are also two buttons where you can find more information about a particular gas station and another to bring up a map to the gas station. Lastly, the site also lists who (what user) recorded the price of the gas and how long ago they recorded it at that price. As you may know, gas prices seem to be constantly changing, so it’s important to know how fresh the gas price information is.

Another neat aspect of the site is that you can register as a user and submit your own prices that you have seen at gas stations. For each gas station price that you report, you earn points. With these points you can win awards, which is a great perk.

GasBuddy also has an application for the iPhone, Andriod phones, Windows phones, and Blackberry phones. These cheap gas phone apps are an excellent tool to use on the go when you don’t have access to a full computer. With this app you can simply use your phone to find the cheapest gas for wherever you currently are.

Although GasBuddy provides extremely useful information, one thing that you have to consider is if you are driving too far just to save a few dollars or worse just a few cents on your total bill. Is it really worth driving half an hour longer to get to a gas station to save 30 cents on your total bill? Obviously not, so this is something that you must consider when using shopping around for the cheapest gas.
